Henry Clay (6-3) at Tates Creek (10-3)
Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Bryan Turnage, 5-8 Jr. Noade Day, 5-10 Jr. Jarrod Gay, 5-10 Sr. Brandon Coles, and 5-9 Jr. Adam Carson. Tates Creek coach Joe Pat Covington countered with 6-3 Sr. Justin Taylor, 6-3 Sr. Tyson Dixon, 6-5 Sr. Dwight Harris, 5-10 So. Jaron Thomas, and 5-10 So. Nash Baldwin.
Tates Creek ’s 6-2 Sr. Cameron Cross scored 31 points tonight, 26 in the second half to lead his team to a 73-57 victory over Henry Clay. Henry Clay led 34-33 at the half but Cross, who had been sidelined with the flu and a knee injury, exploded in the second half to lead the Commodores to a big city victory. Tates Creek outscored the Blue Devils 23-8 in the final period and shot 58.1% from the field.
Justin Taylor added 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists for the victors. 6-3 Sr. Aubrey White led Henry Clay with 18 points and five rebounds. 6-0 Sr. Chase Mitchell added 12 points and Brandon Coles chipped in with nine points.
