Paris coach Terence Brooks started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Alishia Tucker, 5-7 So. Tristen Brown, 5-9 Sr. Jessica Williams, 5-7 Jr. Sarah Yeiser, and 5-5 Jr. Iona Caulder. Paul Dunbar coach Rick Griffith countered with 5-11 Sr. Dominique Rowe, 5-9 Sr. Cathy Schaeffer, 5-5 So. Ranthony Clark, 5-4 Fr. Ebonie Graham, and 5-7 8th grader Briana Green.
Paris held on down the stretch to defeat Dunbar 36-33 in a game in which neither team could hit the basket. Dunbar held a 10-4 lead at the end of the first quarter but Paris outscored the Lady Bulldogs 11-4 in the second quarter to take a 15-14 halftime lead. Dunbar fought back and took a lead in the third quarter but Paris edged ahead to lead 27-24 at the end of three quarters. The final period went back and forth as Paris took a 33-24 lead, then Dunbar went on a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 2, 33-31. Paris hit three out of four free throws in the final minute to claim the victory.
Paris was led tonight by 5-7 Jr. Natalie Tubbs with 11 points including six out of seven free throws. 5-7 So. Taylor Christman added nine points. Dunbar was led tonight by Briana Green with 15 points. Ranthony Clark and Dominique Rowe each added seven points and Rowe pulled down 16 rebounds.
