Tuesday March 9th - Day 1 

DuPont Manual (16-12) vs. Sacred Heart Academy (30-1)  (at Sacred Heart Academy)

DuPont Manual coach Mina Todd started the following lineup:  6-1 Sr. Candyce Bingham, 5-8 Sr. Kala McNally, 6-1 So. Marissa Williams, 5-3 Jr. Brittany Hazelwood, and 5-3 Sr. Tiffany Burton.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-5 Jr. Alison Denbow, 5-8 Jr. Jackie Distler, 6-3 Sr. Crystal Kelly, 5-4 Jr. Jordan Hess, and 5-7 Jr. Carly Ormerod.

Sacred Heart broke open a close game by outscoring Manual 28-12 in the third quarter on their way to a 70-49 victory.  Manual led 14-13 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 31-23 at the end of the first half.  Sacred Heart opened the second half with a 19-2 run to settle the issue.  Sacred Heart shot 48.4% from the field, connected on nine of 14 free throws, and pulled down 43 rebounds.  Manual shot 32.7% from the field, was 12 of 20 from the free throw line, and grabbed 33 rebounds. 

Sacred Heart was led by Crystal Kelly with 16 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals.  Jackie Distler added 15 points and Jordan Hess chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, and five steals.  Carly Ormerod added 11 points.  Candyce Bingham led Manual with 23 points, nine rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Marissa Williams added seven points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Ballard outscored Fern Creek 25-7 in the second quarter on their way to a 73-36 victory.  Ballard had four players in double figures tonight, led by 6-4 So. Alicia Bunton with 15 points.  Fern Creek was led by 5-6 Sr. Celaunce Richardson with 20 points.

Mercy Academy raced out to a 42-25 halftime lead on their way to a 74-47 victory over Moore.  Twelve players cracked the scoring column for Mercy.  5-8 Sr. Anna Mehr, 6-0 Sr. Katie Willinger, and 5-8 So. Emily Napier led the Jaguars with 12, 11, and 10 points respectively.  5-10 Fr. Chiquita Evans and 5-4 Jr. Tyneshia McCain led Moore with 17 and 10 points respectively.

Christian Academy of Louisville led 27-16 at halftime and cruised to a 54-25 victory over Seneca.  The victors were led by 5-8 So. Meredith Marsh, 5-8 Jr. Jessie Marshall, and 5-9 Jr. Ali Shubert with 13, 11, and 10 points respectively.  5-8 Jr. Katie Gausepohl led Seneca with six points.

Ballard (16-14) vs. Sacred Heart Academy (31-1) Semifinal No. 1

Ballard coach Ken Smith started the following lineup:  5-10 Sr. Heather Ross, 5-7 Sr. Kelly Compton, 6-4 So. Alicia Bunton, 5-7 So. Erin Rodgers, and 5-5 Fr. Teadra Elliott.   Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Jr. Taylor Kopple, 5-8 Jr. Jackie Distler, 6-3 Sr. Crystal Kelly, 5-4 Jr. Jordan Hess, and 5-7 Jr. Carly Ormerod.

Sacred Heart Academy led 26-12 at the end of the first quarter on their way to a 67-45 victory over Ballard.  Sacred Heart shot 48.3% from the field, connected on nine of 12 free throws, and pulled down 43 rebounds.  Sacred Heart scored 24 points off 19 Ballard turnovers and held a 19-6 advantage in bench scoring.  Ballard shot 35.4% from the field, was nine of 19 from the free throw line, and grabbed 26 rebounds. 

Carly Ormerod led Sacred Heart with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Jackie Distler and Crystal Kelly added 13 and 10 points respectively.  Alicia Bunton and Heather Ross led Ballard with nine points each.  Bunton also pulled down 11 rebounds.

Christian Academy of Louisville (24-6) vs. Mercy Academy (21-7) Semifinal No. 2

Christian Academy coach Don Rice started the following lineup:  5-9 Jr. Ali Shubert, 5-8 Jr. Jessie Marshall, 6-2 Jr. Ashley Fishback, 5-9 Jr. Kristen Blake, and 5-8 So. Meredith Marsh.  Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-11 Sr. Kate Ulanowski, 5-9 So. Mallory Luckett, 6-0 Sr. Katie Willinger, 5-8 Sr. Anna Mehr, and 5-7 Sr. Laura Rather.

Mercy Academy survived a two overtime battle with Christian Academy of Louisville to take a 63-60 victory and advance to the championship game.  Mercy shot 30.8% from the field, including four of 17 from three point range.  The Jaguars were 19 of 28 from the free throw line and pulled down 50 rebounds.  Mercy Academy scored 21 points off 22 Christian Academy turnovers.  Christian Academy of Louisville shot 35.8% from the field including 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.  Christian Academy was plagued at the free throw line as they only connected on 12 of 31 shots.  The Lady Centurians pulled down 45 rebounds.

Katie Willinger led Mercy with 20 points and 18 rebounds.  Laura Rather added 19 points and Anna Mehr chipped in with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Meredith Marsh led Christian Academy of Louisville with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.  Kristen Blake added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Jessie Marshall also chipped in with 14 points.   Ali Shubert tallied nine points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Saturday March 13th - Day 3  (at Louisville Gardens)

Mercy Academy (22-7) vs. Sacred Heart Academy (32-1)  Championship Game

Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans started the following lineup:  5-11 Sr. Kate Ulanowski, 5-9 So. Mallory Luckett, 6-0 Sr. Katie Willinger, 5-8 Sr. Anna Mehr, and 5-7 Sr. Laura Rather.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Jr. Taylor Kopple, 5-8 Jr. Jackie Distler, 6-3 Sr. Crystal Kelly, 5-4 Jr. Jordan Hess, and 5-7 Jr. Carly Ormerod

Sacred Heart Academy led 38-33 at the end of three quarters but pulled away in the final period to claim a 64-47 victory over Mercy Academy.  Mercy started the game hot and led 10-2 before Sacred Heart regrouped to pull within 4, 15-11, at the end of the first quarter.  Sacred Heart took a 27-24 hafltime lead despite being without the services of Carly Ormerod who had picked up two fouls.

Sacred Heart Academy shot 47.7% from the field, was 22 of 34 from the free throw line, and pulled down 37 rebounds.  The Valkyries scored 20 points off 20 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy shot 34% from the field, was nine of 12 from the free throw line, and grabbed 27 rebounds.  Mercy scored 10 points off 14 Sacred Heart miscues.

The victors were led by Crystal Kelly with 20 points and 10 rebounds.  Taylor Kopple and Carly Ormerod each added 12 points.  Kopple also pulled down 10 rebounds and recorded six steals.  Jackie Distler chipped in with 10 points.    Laura Rather led Mercy Academy with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Katie Willinger added 11 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
