Louisville Central (9-5) at Scott County (12-2) (Boys)

Louisville Central coach Doug Bibby started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Leroy Nobles, 6-0 Jr. Derrick Bowers, 6-4 Sr. Ken Duvall, 6-3 Jr. Darryl Bell, and 5-10 Sr. Jeremy McFadden.  Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-6 Sr. Anthony Coote, 6-3 So. Rodney Haddix, 7-2 Sr. Jared Carter, 6-3 Fr. Bud Mackey, and 6-3 So. Matt Walls.

Scott County led 79-50 at the end of three quarters on their way to a 94-79 victory over Louisville Central.  The victorious Cardinals substituted liberally tonight with a total of 17 players seeing action.  Scott County shot 58% from the field, connected on 10 of 16 free throws, and pulled down 44 rebounds.  Central shot 36.7% from the field including nine of 22 from beyond the arc, connected on 26 of 33 free throws, and pulled down 29 rebounds.  They also scored 29 points off 22 Scott County turnovers.

Jared Carter recorded a triple double for Scott County tonight with 32 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 blocked shots.  Rodney Haddix added 20 points and Bud Mackey and Anthony Coote chipped in with 12 and 10 points respectively.  Matt Walls had a nice stat line tonight with eight points, six rebounds, and seven assists.  Leroy Nobles turned in a sterling performance for Central tonight with 35 points including five three point baskets in only 25 minutes of playing time.  Derrick Bowers added 12 points.
