Berea (4-22) vs. Madison Central (9-17) (Girls)
Berea coach Jerry Bingham started the following lineup: 5-10 8th grader Elizabeth Horn, 5-9 Fr. Chelsea Atwater, 5-9 Jr. Samantha Sipple, 5-4 7th grader Rachel Lanham, and 5-3 So. Amanda Thacher. Madison Central coach Kent Miller countered with 5-7 Jr. Sasha Turansky, 5-7 Sr. Libby Letcher, 5-9 Sr. Melinda Champ, 5-4 Sr. Brooke Barnett, and 5-5 Sr. Ashley Wiseman.
Madison Central scored 36 points off 35 Berea turnovers and held a 38-7 advantage in bench scoring in a 67-26 victory. The victors shot 45.1% from the field including 58.3% in the first half. They connected on 15 of 22 free throws, and pulled down 32 rebounds. Berea shot 28.6% from the field, connected on only nine of 25 free throws, and grabbed 31 rebounds.
5-5 So. Amara Herald came off the bench to lead Madison Central with 16 points including three three point baskets. Libby Letcher added 15 points while Brooke Barnett and 5-7 Jr. Janna Anderson each chipped in with eight points. Elizabeth Horn led Berea with 12 points and six rebounds. 5-6 8th grader Brittany Harris added seven points and Chelsea Atwater chipped in with six points and nine rebounds.

Model coach Steven Minter started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Lauren Heath, 5-8 Jr. Kendra Ritter, 6-0 Sr. Erika Holt, 5-5 So. Kathryn Engle, and 5-6 8th grader Lyndsay Jones. Madison Southern coach Harold Borders countered with 5-7 Jr. Jenna Helton, 5-5 So. Paige McGuire, 5-7 So. Sierra Merida, 5-5 So. Tiffany Willis, and 5-2 Fr. Nikki Jeck.
Model advanced to the championship game with a 57-56 overtime victory over Madison Southern. Model shot 40.7% from the field, connected on eight of 19 free throws, and pulled down 35 rebounds. Madison Southern shot 41.7% from the field, connected on 13 of 23 free throws, and grabbed 40 rebounds.
Model was led tonight by Kendra Ritter with 23 points and seven rebounds. Erika Holt and Kathryn Engle each added 10 points, with Holt pulling down nine rebounds. Jenna Helton led Madison Southern with 25 points and 13 rebounds. Nikki Jeck added 14 points and dished out four assists.

Berea (11-16) vs. Madison Central (9-15) (Boys)
Berea coach Mike Key started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Jaaron Johns, 6-2 Jr. Keith Ruxer, 6-5 Sr. Craig Richmond, 5-9 Jr. Chris Quinley, and 5-11 Jr. Trevor Yosick. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus, Jr. countered with 6-5 Fr. Aaron Morris, 6-2 So. Duane Fields, 6-5 Sr. Rob Hess, 5-10 Sr. Buddy Stone, and 5-8 Jr. Andrew Mathis.
The score was tied 35-35 at halftime but Madison Central outscored Berea 22-4 in the third quarter in an 82-51 victory. Berea could only score 16 points in the second half as they were held to 20.8% field goal shooting in the second half. Madison Central scored 25 points off 19 Berea turnovers and held a commanding 49-26 advantage on the boards. Madison Central shot 50% from the field and connected on 23 of 38 free throws. Berea shot 34% from the field and connected on 15 of 23 free throws.
Rob Hess led Madison Central with 23 points and eight rebounds. Hess was six of eight from the field and 11 of 16 from the free throw line. Aaron Morris added 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Andrew Mathis chipped in with 12 points. Craig Richmond led Berea with 21 points. Jaaron Johns added 11 points.

Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry countered with 6-3 Sr. Kent Hensley, 6-1 Jr. Bradley Johnson, 6-5 Jr. Luke Stocker, 6-0 Jr. Casey Hatcher, and 6-1 Sr. Nick Noland.
Madison Southern only led 28-24 at halftime but pulled away in the second half to defeat Model 70-51. Madison Southern won the battle of the boards by a resounding 48-24 margin. The victors shot 41.5% from the field and connected on 14 of 22 free throws. Model shot 39.1% from the field and was nine of 12 from the free throw line.
Nick Noland led Madison Southern with 17 points and nine rebounds. Luke Stocker added 10 points and nine rebounds, while 6-0 Jr. Justin Marcum came off the bench to tally 10 points. Jeff Johnson led Madison Southern with 18 points while Hayden Schneider chipped in with 10 points.

Madison Central and held a 31-3 advantage in bench scoring in a 44-33 victory over Model. The victors shot 31.1% from the field, connected on 14 of 25 free throws, and pulled down 36 rebounds. Model shot 31.4% from the field, connected on 11 of 23 free throws, and pulled down 35 rebounds.
5-5 So. Amara Herald came off the bench to lead Madison Central with 26 points. Libby Letcher added 10 points and 12 rebounds. 5-7 Jr. Kandie Warford came off the bench to add three points and nine rebounds. Kendra Ritter led Madison Central with 11 points. Lauren Heath added nine points and pulled down 15 rebounds.

Madison Southern (19-8) vs. Madison Central (10-15) (Boys) Championship
Madison Southern coach Shane Buttry started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Kent Hensley, 6-1 Jr. Bradley Johnson, 6-5 Jr. Luke Stocker, 6-0 Jr. Casey Hatcher, and 6-1 Sr. Nick Noland. Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus, Jr. countered with 6-5 Fr. Aaron Morris, 6-2 So. Duane Fields, 6-5 Sr. Rob Hess, 5-10 Sr. Buddy Stone, and 5-8 Jr. Andrew Mathis.
Madison Central outscored Madison Southern 21-9 in the second quarter to erase a 20-12 deficit on their way to a 67-59 victory. Madison Central shot 51.2% from the field including six of 13 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on on 19 of 27 free throws and pulled down 29 rebounds. Madison Southern shot 40.4% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws and grabbed 21 rebounds.
Buddy Stone led Madison Central with 22 points points including five three point baskets. Aaron Morris added 17 points and eight rebounds. Rob Hess and Duane Fields chipped in with 11 and 10 points respectively. Luke Stocker led Madison Southern with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Nick Noland added 21 points including three baskets from beyond the arc.

Conclusion
Madison Central and Madison Southern advance to the 11th Region tourney on the boys’ side while the Madison Central and Model girls teams advance to 11th Region tourney play.
