Shelby County (2-2) at Mercy Academy (2-1) 

Shelby County coach Sally Zimmerman started the following lineup:  5-9 Sr. Tara Milburn, 5-6 Sr. Ashley Gibbs, 5-9 Jr. Amber Morrison, 5-4 So. Raechele Gray, and 5-8 Sr. Amanda Green.  Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-8 Sr. Megan McGuire, 5-8 Sr. Melissa Schindler, 5-8 Sr. Brittany Buss, 5-7 Sr. Mallory Luckett, and 6-0 Sr. Jenny Petrie.

Shelby County closed the deficit to four, 54-50 with 3:42 remaining in the game but cound never get closer as Mercy took a 64-52 decision.  Shelby County committed 17 first half turnovers and Mercy capitalized for a 38-22 halftime lead.

Mercy Academy shot 31.8% from the field, connected on 19 of 26 free throws, and pulled down 49 rebounds.  Mercy scored 24 points off 27 Shelby County turnovers.  Shelby County shot 37.5% from the field, connected on eight of 13 free throws, and grabbed 40 rebounds.  Shelby County scored 14 points off 17 Mercy turnovers.

Jenny Petrie led Mercy Academy with 21 points and 16 rebounds with 13 of the rebounds being offensive rebounds.  Mallory Luckett added 19 points including nine of 11 from the free throw line.  Luckett also recorded six steals.  Megan McGuire chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.  Amanda Green led Shelby County with 21 points and 18 rebounds with 16 of her rebounds being on the defensive end.  5-9 Sr. Krystina Silverhorn and Amber Morrison added eight and seven points respectively.
