Christian Academy of Louisville coach Don Rice started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Courtney Smith, 5-10 Jr. Abby Tappendorf, 5-11 Fr. Clair Buchanan, 5-7 So. Brooke Willoughby, and 5-9 Sr. Meredith Marsh.  Mercy Academy coach Mark Evans countered with 5-8 Sr. Melissa Schindler, 6-0 Sr. Jenny Petrie, 5-8 Sr. Megan McGuire, 5-8 Sr. Brittany Buss, and 5-7 Sr. Mallory Luckett.

Mercy Academy trailed 28-25 at halftime but rallied to defeat Christian Academy of Louisville 61-54.  Mercy scored 26 points off 20 Christian Academy of Louisville turnovers to offset CAL’s 27-9 advantage in three point points.

Mercy Academy shot 37.5% from the field including only three of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 16 of 24 free throws and pulled down 37 rebounds.  CAL shot 41.5% from the field including nine of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady Centurions connected on 11 of 28 free throws and pulled down 32 rebounds.

Jenny Petrie led Mercy Academy with 19 points and 10 rebounds.  Mallory Luckett added 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Melissa Schindler chipped in with nine points and eight rebounds.

Courtney Smith and Brooke Willoughby led a balanced CAL attack with 14 points each.  Meredith Marsh added 12 points and five assists.  Clair Buchanan also reached double figures with 10 points and also pulled down eight rebounds.
