Madison Central (17-5) vs. Henry Clay (16-6)

Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup:  6-4 Jr. Rob Newman, 6-2 Sr. Matt Lowery, 6-5 So. Aaron Morris, 6-3 Jr. Duane Fields, and 5-9 Sr. Andrew Mathis.  Henry Clay coach Kirk Chiles countered with 6-4 So. Aaron Boyd, 6-2 Sr. Aaron Miller, 6-4 So. Victor Moses, 5-11 Jr. Chase Minnifield, and 6-2 Sr. Aaron Dunaway.

Madison Central defeated Henry Clay 84-74 in overtime.  The score was tied 72-72 in overtime but Madison Central closed out the scoring with a 12-2 run.  Henry Clay took 18 more shots from the field (72-54) than Madison Central but each team scored 30 field goals.  Madison Central shot 55.6% from the field including a sizzling 65.4% in the first half.

Madison Central shot 55.6% from the field including three of five from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 21 of 28 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 41.7% from the field, but missed all ten shots from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 14 of 18 free throws, grabbed 41 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 19 Madison Central turnovers.  Henry Clay held a 22-5 advantage in second chance points.

Aaron Morris led Madison Central with 25 points and six rebounds.  Duane Fields added 21 points and Matt Lowery chipped in with 14 points.  Andrew Mathis recorded five points and dished out eight assists.  Aaron Miller led Henry Clay with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Victor Moses added 16 points and seven rebounds, while Aaron Dunaway chipped in with 14 points.
