Scott County (17-2) vs. Bryan Station (14-8)

Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup:  6-3 Jr. Rodney Haddix, 6-5 So. Tyler Portwood, 6-6 So. Jordan Lee, 6-3 So. Bud Mackey, and 6-4 Jr. Matt Walls.  Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-3 Jr. Stefan Lewis, 6-2 So. Dacoby Burnett, 6-5 Jr. Jaron Jones, 5-11 Sr. De’ire Foxx, and 6-2 So. Shelvin Mack.

What a differences three weeks makes!!.  Three weeks ago Scott County defeated Bryan Station by a score of 76-62 and tonight Bryan Station defeated Scott County 92-70.  Bryan Station shot a sizzling 56.7% from the field and converted 26 Scott County turnovers into 28 points.  The Defenders also got excellent bench play as they held a 31-14 advantage in bench scoring.

Bryan Station shot 56.7% from the field, connected on 20 of 31 free throws, and pulled down 39 rebounds.  Scott County shot 38.1% from the field, connected on 16 of 25 free throws, and grabbed 37 rebounds.

Jaron Jones led Bryan Station tonight with 21 points.  6-2 Sr. Kearney Demus added 17 points, and Dacoby Burnett chipped in with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Shelvin Mack recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.

Bud Mackey led Scott County with 14 points.  Matt Walls and Rodney Haddix added 11 points each.  Tyler Portwood and Jordan Lee also recorded double figures with 10 points each.
