Woodford County (21-3) vs. Henry Clay (16-4)

Woodford County coach Jay Lucas started the following lineup:  5-7 Sr. Nikki Bryant, 5-7 Sr. Amber Penny, 6-1 So. Kelsey Swan, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Henderlight, and 5-7 Fr. Katy Cooke.  Henry Clay coach Scott Cromwell countered with 5-10 Sr. Erica Coleman, 5-7 Jr. Tabnie Dozier, 6-1 So. Gwen Rucker, 5-5 So. Demetria Nichols, and 5-5 So. Raven Price.

Woodford County raced out to an early 22-9 lead and turned back several Henry Clay rallies to earn a 65-58 victory over Henry Clay.  Woodford County utilized an aggressive defense early to force Henry Clay into turnovers to keep the taller Blue Devils off stride.  The Lady Jackets led 45-42 after three quarters but opened up a 54-44 lead to get a little breathing room to ensure the victory.

Brittany Henderlight led a balanced Woodford County scoring attack with 17 points.  Nikki Bryant added 16 points.  Katy Cooke chipped in with 14 points, dished out seven assists, and recorded four steals.  Amber Penny reached double figures with 11 points and nine rebounds.

5-10 Fr. Brittany Coles came off the bench to lead Henry Clay with 19 points.  Gwen Rucker added 17 points.  Raven Price chipped in with eight points.
