Paul Dunbar (2-1) vs. Lexington Catholic (2-0)

Paul Dunbar coach Michael Sowers started the following lineup:  5-7 Sr. Ebonie Graham, 5-7 Jr. Chelsey Johnson, 6-0 Jr. Chantelle Pressley, 5-7 Jr. Pilar Walker, and 5-5 Jr. Megan LaRue.  Lexington Catholic coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Novosel, 5-9 So. Maggie Wilson, 6-0 Sr. Kellie Cash, 5-8 Jr. Briana Green, and 5-7 Sr. Keyla Snowden.

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 10-0 lead and were never threatened in a 71-42 victory over Dunbar.  The first and fourth quarters were especially decisive as Lexington Catholic held a 43-20 advantage combined in those two periods.

Lexington Catholic shot 50% from the field including five of seven from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Dunbar turnovers.  Paul Dunbar shot 30.9% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on eight of 11 free throws, grabbed 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Keyla Snowden led the victors with 21 points and six rebounds.  Maggie Wilson added 13 points and Natalie Novosel recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Kellie Cash added nine points and seven rebounds.  Briana Green tallied six points, seven rebounds, and nine assists.

Chelsey Johnson and Pilar Walker led Dunbar with 12 points each.  5-11 Fr. Ebony Rowe came off the bench to add 10 points and eight rebounds.
