Clay County (19-4) vs. Lexington Catholic (21-2)

Clay County coach James Burchell started the following lineup: 6-1 8th grader Whitney Belle Jackson, 5-6 Sr. Page Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Maleah Roberts, 5-4 Jr. Sarah Burchell, and 5-6 Jr. Stephanie Jackson.  Lexington Catholic coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Novosel, 5-9 So. Maggie Wilson, 6-0 Sr. Kellie Cash, 5-8 Jr. Briana Green, and 5-7 Sr. Keyla Snowden.

Lexington Catholic outscored Clay County 18-7 in the final quarter to gain a 57-48 victory.  Clay County led 32-25 at halftime and held a 41-39 lead after three quarters.  The victorious Lady Knights scored 32 points off 21 Clay County turnovers and held a 14-4 advantage in free throw points.

Lexington Catholic shot 42.6% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and held a 32-8 advantage in points scored off turnovers.  Clay County shot 38.8% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on four of six free throws, grabbed 34 rebounds, and scored eight points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Natalie Novosel led the victors with 22 points and seven rebounds.  Briana Green added 17 points.  Keyla Snowden chipped in with 11 points.

Stephanie Jackson led Clay County with 16 points and five rebounds.  Page Jackson added 11 points.  Whitney Belle Jackson and Maleah Roberts chipped in with seven and six points respectively.
