Tates Creek (7-21) vs. Lafayette (17-8) (Girls)
Tates Creek coach Justin Cheatham started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Spenser Davis, 5-6 Jr. Marquis Axtell, 5-9 Sr. Nikki Durman, 5-5 So. Kyleigh Kreyenbuhl, and 5-6 Fr. Lizza Jonas. Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton countered with 5-8 Sr. Janel Wilkerson, 5-9 Jr. Corin Dunn, 6-0 Jr. Katie Aldrich, 5-6 Sr. Cassandra Lawson, and 5-5 So. Maya Hanatini.
Lafayette controlled the paint tonight, holding a 44-24 advantage in rebounds in a 67-41 victory over Tates Creek. The Lady Generals enjoyed a 17-8 advantage in second chance points.
The victors shot 50% from the field including three of five from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 16 of 25 free throws, and scored 28 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 25.5% from the field including eight of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on nine of 14 free throws, and scored 11 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.
6-4 Jr. Que’ Christian came off the bench to lead Lafayette with 15 points, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots. Katie Aldrich added 14 points and eight rebounds. Janel Wilkerson chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds. Cassandra Lawson also reached double figures with 11 points including three three point baskets and recorded six steals.
Kyleigh Kreyenbuhl led Tates Creek with 13 points including three three point baskets. Spenser Davis added nine points on three three point baskets.

Lexington Christian Academy (10-15) vs. Paul L. Dunbar (13-15) (Boys)
Lexington Christian Academy coach Tommy Huston started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Jeremy Hobbs, 6-0 So. Tyler Townsend, 6-4 Jr. Patrick Nevitt, 5-11 Jr. Trace Helton, and 5-11 Jr. Cameron Marshall. Paul L. Dunbar coach Carl “Redd” Hutchinson countered with 6-4 Jr. De’Andre Webb, 6-4 Jr. Aaron Klein, 5-9 So. Marquis Clay, 5-10 So. Nick Hudson, and 5-10 Jr. Dion Johnson.
Paul L. Dunbar survived a thriller to eke out a 69-67 victory over Lexington Christian Academy. LCA raced out to a 24-13 lead early in the second quarter but Dunbar cut the deficit to three, 37-34 at halftime. The score remained close throughout the remainder of the game and a long three point potential game-winner by LCA at the buzzer bounced off the rim.
Dunbar shot 45.8% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 56.5% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on nine of 14 free throws, grabbed 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Dunbar turnovers.
Nick Hudson and De’Andre Webb led Dunbar with 18 points each. Webb also pulled down seven rebounds. 6-6 So. Tyler Rogers added 12 points and nine rebounds. Dion Johnson also reached double figures with 10 points.
Patrick Nevitt led Lexington Christian Academy with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Tyler Townsend added 16 points. Trace Helton and Jeremy Hobbs chipped in with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Paul L. Dunbar (20-6) vs. Lexington Christian Academy (25-3) (Girls ) Semifinal
Paul Dunbar coach Michael Sowers started the following lineup: 5-7 Jr. Chelsey Johnson, 5-11 Fr. Ebony Rowe, 6-0 Jr. Chantelle Pressley, 5-5 Jr. Megan LaRue, and 5-7 Jr. Pilar Walker. Lexington Christian Academy coach Jason Seamands countered with 6-0 Fr. Sarah Beth Barnette, 5-9 So. Courtney Clifton, 6-1 So. Clara Mitchell, 5-9 So. Anna Martin, and 5-7 Sr. Emily London.
The score was tied 26-26 at halftime but LCA exploded in the second half behind 27 points by Emily London to earn a 62-50 victory over Dunbar. LCA led 41-36 after three quarters but London scored 16 fourth quarter points to help the Lady Eagles pull away for the victory.
LCA shot 43.5% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 17 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 51.2% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on three of four free throws, grabbed 23 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 LCA turnovers.
Emily London led Lexington Christian Academy with 32 points including five three point baskets. London also recorded six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Clara Mitchell added 12 points and six rebounds.
Pilar Walker led Dunbar with 13 points. Ebony Rowe added 11 points and 13 rebounds. Chantelle Pressley chipped in with nine points.

Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Taylor Stewart, 6-2 Jr. Tyler Corvin, 6-5 Jr. Nathan Novosel, 6-6 Jr. Jordan Smart, and 6-3 Sr. Zach Newton.
Lexington Catholic led 33-29 at halftime and outscored Lafayette 27-9 in the second half to earn a 60-38 victory. Lafayette went ice cold from the field in the second half, only connecting on three of 20 shots (15%) including zero of eight from the three point line.
Lexington Catholic shot 45.2% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 16 of 21 free throws, and pulled down 38 rebounds. Lafayette shot 30% from the field including zero of 17 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on eight of 10 free throws and grabbed 23 rebounds.
Taylor Stewart led Lexington Catholic with 14 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Smart added 11 points. Zach Newton and Nathan Novosel each chipped in with eight points.
Vincent Sanford led Lafayette with 14 points. Jayson Langfels added 13 points. Tommy Gifford chipped in with six points.

Lafayette coach Allison Tate Denton started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Janel Wilkerson, 5-9 Jr. Corin Dunn, 6-0 Jr. Katie Aldrich, 5-6 Sr. Cassandra Lawson, and 5-5 So. Maya Hanatini. Lexington Catholic coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Novosel, 5-9 So. Maggie Wilson, 6-0 Sr. Kellie Cash, 5-8 Jr. Briana Green, and 5-7 Sr. Keyla Snowden.
Lexington Catholic led 38-31 at the end of three quarters and pulled away in the final period for a 60-47 victory over Lafayette. The game could have been much closer except for missed easy opportunities in close.
The victors shot 43.2% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Lady Knights connected on 17 of 19 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 35.4% from the field including three of five from beyond the arc. The Lady Generals connected on 10 of 14 free throws, grabbed 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Keyla Snowden led Lexington Catholic with 15 points. Natalie Novosel added 14 points, nine rebounds, and six steals. Briana Green chipped in with 13 points and eight assists. Maggie Wilson also reached double figures with 11 points.
Katie Aldrich led Lafayette with 11 points and eight rebounds. Cassandra Lawson also recorded 11 points. Corin Dunn chipped in with eight points and nine rebounds. 6-4 Jr. Que’ Christian added eight points and six rebounds.

Tates Creek defeated Paul L. Dunbar 68-62 victory in a hard fought, well played battle. The victors shot 52.3% from the field including two of four from the three point line. The Commodores connected on 20 of 27 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Dunbar turnovers. Dunbar shot 52.2% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs connected on six of 13 free throws, grabbed 22 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Tates Creek turnovers.
Michael Spalding led a balanced Tates Creek attack with 17 points. John Watkins added 15 points. James Johnson and Carlos Parris chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively.
Dion Johnson led Dunbar with 20 points including four three point baskets. 5-9 Jr. Seth Davis added 12 points on four three point baskets. Nick Hudson and Tyler Rogers chipped in with 11 points each. De’Andre Webb recorded six points and nine rebounds.

Lexington Christian Academy (26-3) vs. Lexington Catholic (28-2) (Girls) Championship
Lexington Christian Academy coach Jason Seamands started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. Sarah Beth Barnette, 5-9 So. Courtney Clifton, 6-1 So. Clara Mitchell, 5-9 So. Anna Martin, and 5-7 Sr. Emily London. Lexington Catholic coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Jr. Natalie Novosel, 5-9 So. Maggie Wilson, 6-0 Sr. Kellie Cash, 5-8 Jr. Briana Green, and 5-7 Sr. Keyla Snowden.
The third meeting this season proved to be a charm for Lexington Christian Academy as they captured the 43rd District title with a 72-68 double overtime victory over Lexington Catholic. 5-7 So. Danielle Corbett hit a three point basket for Lexington Catholic at the buzzer to tie the score at 60-60 to force the second overtime. Lexington Catholic took a 63-61 lead in the second overtime but LCA stormed back to take control of the game. Courtney Clifton hit a three point basket to give LCA a 64-63 lead and Emily London scored eight points down the stretch to ensure the victory. Lexington Catholic was hampered in the late stages by the loss of Keyla Snowden, who fouled out with less than a minute remaining in the first overtime.
Lexington Christian Academy shot 44.2% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 18 of 26 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 40.7% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 15 of 23 free throws, grabbed 34 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 20 LCA turnovers.
Lexington Christian Academy was led by tourney MVP Emily London with 25 points including three three point baskets. Courtney Clifton added 16 points including three three point baskets. Anna Martin recorded 15 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists. Clara Mitchell also reached double figures in scoring 13 points. Mitchell also pulled down eight rebounds.
Natalie Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 31 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Briana Green added 12 points. Maggie Wilson chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.

Lexington Catholic survived a marathon three overtime game to earn a 74-71 victory over Tates Creek. Lexington Catholic’s Zach Newton hit four free throws in the final 26 seconds to ensure the victory. Tates Creek, behind 52.9% field goal shooting in the first half, led 26-22 at the intermission. The Commodores field goal shooting cooled in the second half but the outcome of the game was in doubt until the final seconds.
Lexington Catholic shot 42.9% from the field, including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on 28 of 39 free throws and pulled down 31 rebounds. They scored 19 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 42.9% from the field, including two of 11 from the three point line. The Commodores connected on 27 of 33 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds and scored 13 points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Taylor Stewart led the victors with 28 points and seven rebounds. Stewart was 12 of 15 from the free throw line. Zach Newton was named tourney MVP and added 19 points including 12 of 14 from the charity stripe. Nathan Novosel chipped in with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Michael Sparks led Tates Creek with 22 points including 12 of 13 from the free throw line. Michael Spalding, John Watkins, and Carlos Parris added 13, 11, and 11 points respectively. James Johnson chipped in with nine points and 10 rebounds.
