Bryan Station (2-1) vs. Lincoln County (1-0)

Coach Champ Ligon started the following lineup:  6-3 Sr. Dacoby Burnett, 6-1 Jr. Charles Ashford, 6-3 Sr. Terrell Combs, 5-10 Jr. Montel Morones, and 6-3 Sr. Shelvin Mack.  Lincoln County Coach Jeff Jackson countered with 6-3 Jr. Ethan Spurlin, 5-10 Jr. Seth Ellis, 6-1 Jr. Drew Jackson, 5-9 Jr. Trevor Edgington, and 5-10 Sr. Daniel Ralston

Bryan Station raced out to a 30-15 first quarter lead and held on down the stretch to earn a 85-79 victory over Lincoln County.  Both teams shot well from the field tonight and Lincoln County actually outscored Bryan Station nine points over the last three quarters but could not overcome the 15 point first quarter deficit.

Bryan Station shot 50.8% from the field including nine of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 16 of 18 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 21 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 52.6% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Patriots connected on 10 of 16 free throws, grabbed 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 18 Bryan Station turnovers. 

Montel Morones led Bryan Station with 19 points including four three point baskets.  Shelvin Mack added 18 points and dished out 10 assists.  Dacoby Burnett and Charles Ashford chipped in with 16 and 14 points respectively.   Ethan Spurlin led Lincoln County with 23 points and seven rebounds.  Daniel Ralston added 17 points.  6-2 Sr. Noah Keeton and 6-1 Sr. Ryan Young chipped in with 16 and 15 points respectively.   Keeton and Ralston connected on four three point baskets each.
