Mt. Notre Dame (OH) (2-1) vs. Lexington Catholic (0-0)

Mt. Notre Dame Coach Dante Harlan started the following lineup:  6-0 Sr. Channing Hillman, 6-1 Sr. Tia McBride, 6-3 Jr. Kendall Hackney, 5-10 Jr. Gabby Smith, and 5-6 Jr. Ashley Fowler.  Lexington Catholic Coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Sr. Natalie Novosel, 5-11 Sr. Megan Donnelly, 6-0 Sr. Lauren Conrad, 5-9 Jr. Maggie Wilson, and 5-8 Sr. Briana Green

Lexington Catholic scored 28 points off 23 Mt. Notre Dame turnovers and held a 26-10 advantage in free throw points in an 81-67 victory.  The Lady Knights raced out to a 23-15 lead after the first quarter.  Mt. Notre Dame was plagued with foul woes tonight as four starters fouled out. 

Lexington Catholic shot 48% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 26 of 39 free throws and pulled down 35 rebounds.  Mt. Notre Dame shot 43.3% from the field including five of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cougars connected on 10 of 17 free throws, grabbed 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 20 Lexington Catholic turnovers. 

Natalie Novosel led Lexington Catholic with 32 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals.  Novosel was 10 of 14 from the field including two of three from beyond the arc.  Maggie Wilson added 21 points including three three point baskets.  Briana Green chipped in with 16 points.  Tia McBride led Mt. Notre Dame (OH) with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.  Channing Hillman added 12 points.  Ashley Fowler chipped in with 10 points.
