Paul Dunbar (3-0) vs. Lexington Catholic (2-0)

Dunbar Coach Mike Sowers started the following lineup:  6-0 So. Ebony Rowe, 5-7 Sr. Pilar Walker, 6-1 Sr. Chantelle Pressley, 5-7 Sr. Chelsey Johnson, and 5-5 Sr. Megan LaRue.  Lexington Catholic Coach Jeff Hans countered with 5-11 Sr. Natalie Novosel, 5-11 Sr. Megan Donnelly, 6-0 Sr. Lauren Conrad, 5-9 Jr. Maggie Wilson, and 5-8 Sr. Briana Green

Dunbar led 41-22 after three quarters on their way to a 44-36 victory over Lexington Catholic.  Ebony Rowe did an excellent defensive job on Natalie Novosel tonight.  Novosel scored 11 points but had only three points in the first three quarters.  Dunbar also held a commanding 42-22 edge in rebounds.

Dunbar shot 45.9% from the field and did not attempt any three point shots.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Paul Dunbar turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 24.5% from the field including only one of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on nine of 13 free throws, grabbed 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 28 Dunbar turnovers. 

Chantelle Pressley led Paul Dunbar with 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Ebony Rowe added 10 points and 13 rebounds.  Pilar Walker recorded seven rebounds and seven assists.  Briana Green led Lexington Catholic with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Natalie Novosel added 11 points and five rebounds.
