Scott County (14-9) vs. Bryan Station (21-1)

Scott County Coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup:  6-7 Jr. Richie Phares, 6-2 So. Ge-Lawn Guyn, 6-7 Sr. Jordan Lee, 6-1 Sr. Jordan Adams, and 6-5 Sr. Tyler Portwood.  Bryan Station Coach Champ Ligon countered with 6-3 Sr. Dacoby Burnett, 6-1 Jr. Charles Ashford, 6-3 Sr. Terrell Combs, 5-10 Jr. Montell Morones, and 6-3 Sr. Shelvin Mack

Scott County avenged an earlier loss to Bryan Station with an 86-65 victory over the Defenders tonight.  The Cardinals were able to successfully navigate through Bryan Station's press and shot a sizzling 56.6% from the field including 60% in the first half. 

Scott County shot 56.6% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 21 of 25 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 39.3% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 17 of 27 free throws, grabbed 29 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Scott County turnovers. 

Rapidly improving Jr. Richie Phares led Scott County with 28 points and nine rebounds.  Phares was 12 of 15 from the field including one of one from the three point line.  Ge-Lawn Guyn added 11 points.  Tyler Portwood chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists.  Shelvin Mack led Bryan Station with 21 points, seven rebounds, and five steals.  Montell Morones and Dacoby Burnett added 15 and 11 points respectively.
