Montgomery County (16-5) vs. Sacred Heart Academy (14-8)

Montgomery County Coach Janie Robinson started the following lineup:  5-11 Jr. Elizabeth Prewitt, 5-4 Jr. Katie Jo Thompson, 6-3 So. Mary Jehlik, 5-7 Jr. Mackenzie Lee, and 5-8 Sr. Maggie Prewitt.  Sacred Heart Academy Coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Jr. Megan Smith, 5-6 So. Autumn Miller, 5-9 Fr. Morgan Clemons, 5-7 Sr. Kathryn Denbow, and 5-6 Sr. Whitney Ising

Maggie Prewitt hit two free throws with 3.9 seconds remaining to give Montgomery County a 62-60 victory over Sacred Heart .  Megan Smith had connected on two free throws with 17.7 seconds left to tie the score for Sacred Heart .  Montgomery County raced out to a 9-0 lead but there were 14 lead changes and seven ties in the game.

Montgomery County shot 50% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Sacred Heart turnovers.  Sacred Heart shot 47.1% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Valkyries connected on seven of 12 free throws, grabbed 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 19 Montgomery County turnovers.

Maggie Prewitt led the victors with 18 points and five rebounds.  Mary Jehlik added 12 points and eight rebounds.  Mackenzie Lee chipped in with 10 points.  Megan Smith led Sacred Heart Academy with 16 points and six rebounds.  Autumn Miller added 15 points.
