Monday February 28th

 

Bracken County (18-10)  vs.  Pendleton County (18-12)

 

Bracken County coach Patrick Kelsch started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Sara Sticklen, 5-7 Jr. Kayla Cummins, 5-11 Fr. Cassidy Jefferson, 5-7 Fr. Jordan Wills, and 5-3 So. Emma Conley.  Pendleton County coach Scott Collins countered with 5-8 Sr. Tayler Black, 5-8 Sr. Kelsie Pugh, 6-1 Sr. Chelsea Gosney, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Wells, and 5-8 So. Ashten Wolfe.

 

Bracken County led 41-33 after three quarters but Pendleton County rallied in the final quarter to earn a 60-55 victory.  Pendleton County shot 40% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Cats connected on 20 of 30 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 16 Bracken County turnovers.  Bracken County shot 32.7% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Polar Bears connected on 17 of 30 free  throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 23 Pendleton County turnovers.

 

Kelsie Pugh led Pendleton county with 18 points, eight rebounds, and three steals.  Tayler Black added 16 points and five steals.  Chelsey Gosney chipped in with 14 points.

 

Sara Sticklen led Bracken County with 32 points including 13 of 20 free throws, and pulled down nine rebounds.  Cassidy Jefferson added eight points and six rebounds.

Sarah Futscher, 5-5 Jr. Molly Williams, and 5-5 Sr. Becca Kidney.  George Rogers Clark coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Preshia Rogers, 5-6 Sr. Tayler Kindred, 5-8 Jr. Brittani Gay, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Parido, and 5-4 Sr. Shamy Williams.

 

George Rogers Clark defeated Bishop Brossart by a score of 64-53.  George Rogers Clark shot 55.6% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on six of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Bishop Brossart turnovers.  Bishop Brossart shot 37.3% from the field including six of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Mustangs connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 21 George Rogers Clark turnovers.

 

Shamy Williams led George Rogers Clark with 21 points including five three point baskets.  Brittani Gay added 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Tayler Kindred chipped in with nine points.  Preshia Rogers recorded seven points, six rebounds, six assists, and six steals.

 

Becca Kidney led Bishop Brossart with 13 points including three three point baskets.  Rachel Hartig added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Molly Williams chipped in with 10 points.  Nicole Ridder recorded six points and nine rebounds.

Montgomery County (12-15)  vs.  Harrison County (17-13)

 

Montgomery County coach Janie Robinson started the following lineup:  5-10 So. Olivia Colliver, 5-7 Jr. Destiney Taul, 6-1 So. Macie Spence, 5-5 Fr. Erica Rogers, and 5-6 So. Keria Lockett.  Harrison County coach Piper Akin countered with 5-4 Sr. Pamela Custard, 5-4 Sr. Tiffany Snider, 5-8 Fr. Jordan Doram, 5-5 Jr. Kelsey Cummins, and 5-5 Jr. Mariah Nichols.

 

Montgomery County defeated Harrison County by a score of 65-54.  Montgomery County shot 44.3% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 27 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 46.2% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Fillies connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 14 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Olivia Colliver led Montgomery County with 16 points and five steals.  Destiney Taul added 14 points.  Erica Rogers chipped in with 12 points.  Macie Spence recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

 

Jordan Doram led Harrison County with 15 points and 13 rebounds.  Tiffany Snider and Pamela Custard each scored 12 points.

St. Patrick coach Elaine Douglas started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Brooke Mosler, 5-6 Jr. Allison Tolle, 6-1 Jr. Lydia Hamilton, 5-5 Jr. Allison McKay, and 5-5 Jr. Chelsea Douglas.  Campbell County coach Ed Cravens countered with 5-10 Jr. Kennedy Berkley, 5-7 Sr. Taylor Griffin, 6-2 So. Kaitlin Siegmundt, 5-5 So. Taylor Robinson, and 5-6 Sr. Kelsey Miller.

 

Campbell County led 33-19 at halftime on their way to a 51-44 victory over St. Patrick.  Campbell County shot 33.3% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Camels connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 22 St. Patrick turnovers.  St. Patrick shot 35.2% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Saints connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Campbell County turnovers.

 

Kennedy Berkley led Campbell County with 14 points including two three point baskets.  Kelsey Miller added nine points.  Kaitlin Siegmundt recorded seven points, nine rebounds, and four steals.

 

Chelsea Douglas led St. Patrick with 15 points.  Allison Tolle added 13 points and seven rebounds.  Brooke Mosler chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.  Lydia Hamilton recorded six points and eight rebounds.

Pendleton County (19-12)  vs.  George Rogers Clark (23-7) (Semifinal)

 

Pendleton County coach Scott Collins started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Tayler Black, 5-8 Sr. Kelsie Pugh, 6-1 Sr. Chelsea Gosney, 5-7 Sr. Brittany Wells, and 5-8 So. Ashten Wolfe. George Rogers Clark coach Scott True countered with 5-7 Sr. Preshia Rogers, 5-6 Sr. Tayler Kindred, 5-8 Jr. Brittani Gay, 5-5 Jr. Kelsie Parido, and 5-4 Sr. Shamy Williams.

 

George Rogers Clark raced out to a 22-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 70-40 victory over Pendleton County.  The first and third quarters were disastrous for Pendleton County as they were outscored by a combined score total of 47-10.

 

George Rogers Clark shot 55.8% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on eight of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 24 Pendleton County turnovers.  Pendleton County shot 26.3% from the field including zero of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cats connected on 10 of 21 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 24 George Rogers Clark turnovers.

 

Brittani Gay led George Rogers Clark with 14 points.  5-9 8th grader Sandra Skinner and 5-11 Fr. Maddie Hamlin each scored 10 points.  Preshia Rogers recorded nine points, seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals.

 

Kelsie Pugh led Pendleton County with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Tayler Black added 10 points and six steals.  6-1 So. Heather Jolley chipped in with eight points and 10 rebounds.

Erica Rogers, and 5-6 So. Keria Lockett.

 

Campbell County led 37-36 after three quarters but Montgomery County rallied to earn a 54-45 victory.  Montgomery County shot 34.9% from the field including one of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 23 of 30 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 19 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 29.6% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Camels connected on seven of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Olivia Colliver led Montgomery County with 17 points including 13 of 17 free throws and pulled down six rebounds.  Destiney Taul added 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Macie Spence added 10 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.  Erica Rogers also recorded 10 points. 

 

Kelsey Miller led Campbell County with 10 points including two three point baskets.  Kennedy Berkley added seven points and 11 rebounds.  Taylor Griffin also recorded seven points.

Montgomery County (14-15)  vs.  George Rogers Clark (24-7) (Championship)

Montgomery County led 40-39 after three quarters and pulled away in the final period to earn a 58-51 victory.  Montgomery County led 35-27 in the third quarter but George Rogers Clark closed out the quarter with a 12-5 run.  Poor free throw shooting plagued George Rogers Clark tonight as they could only connect on five of 14 from the line.

 

Montgomery County shot 38.6% from the field including five of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on 19 of 29 from the free throw line, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 George Rogers Clark turnovers.  George Rogers Clark  shot 37.3% from the field including two of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on five of 14 from the free throw line, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Erica Rogers led Montgomery County with 15 points including three three point baskets, and pulled down six rebounds.  Olivia Colliver added 13 points.  Macie Spence chipped in with 12 points and nine rebounds.  Destiney Taul recorded  eight points and nine rebounds.

 

Brittani Gay led George Rogers Clark with 23 points and 15 rebounds.  Preshia Rogers added 13 points, seven rebounds, and seven steals.
