Tuesday February 21st

 

Franklin County (14-15)  vs.  Frankfort (12-15)

 

Franklin County coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Garrett Hamilton, 6-3 Sr. Eric Meyer, 6-3 So. Chris Roberts, 5-10 Jr. Casey Tabor, and 5-11 Jr. Ryan Timmons.  Frankfort coach Matthew Yates countered with 6-0 Sr. Zach Perry, 5-10 Sr. DeAnte Floyd, 6-3 Jr. Aaron Jackson, 5-8 Fr. Jalen Washington, and 5-9 Jr. Jalen Oliver.

 

Franklin County defeated Frankfort by a score of 82-52.  Franklin County shot 54.2% from the field including four of nine from the three point line.  The Flyers connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Frankfort turnovers.  Franklin County held a 17-5 advantage in second effort points.  Frankfort shot 37% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on 11 of 22 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County with 25 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.  Garrett Hamilton added 18 points and 13 rebounds.  Eric Meyer chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets.

 

Jalen Washington led Frankfort with 22 points.  DeAnte Floyd added seven points.

Wednesday February 22nd

 

Western Hills (5-23)  vs.  Woodford County (19-11)

 

Western Hills coach Steve Wooldridge started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Logan Curry, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Barrass, 6-5 Sr. Grant Hughes, 5-10 Sr. Jordan Kendall, and 5-11 Jr. Kevin Booth.  Woodford County coach Scott Hundley countered with 6-4 Sr. David Greenwell, 6-4 Sr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Sr. Jay Johnson, 6-1 Sr. Rodney Gross, and 6-2 Sr. William Starcher.

 

Woodford County shot 61.4% from the field in a 66-37 victory over Western hills.  Woodford County shot a blistering 77.3% from the field in the first half on their way to a 41-17 halftime lead.  Woodford county connected on six of 15 three point attempts, made six of 11 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 10 Western Hills turnovers.  Western Hills shot 35.3% from the field including one of four from beyond the arc.  The Wolverines connected on 12 of 21 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Woodford County turnovers.

 

David Greenwell led Woodford County with 19 points and four assists. William Starcher added 16 points including four three point baskets.  Jay Johnson chipped in with 13 points and seven rebounds.  Rodney Gross recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and five assists.  Gross was five of five from the field and one of two from the free throw line.

 

Logan Curry led Western Hills with 10 points and seven rebounds.  Ryan Barrass also scored 10 points.

Friday February 24th

 

Woodford County (20-11)  vs.  Franklin County (15-15) (Championship)

 

Woodford County coach Scott Hundley started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. David Greenwell, 6-4 Sr. Addison Hollin, 6-7 Sr. Jay Johnson, 6-1 Sr. Rodney Gross, and 6-2 Sr. William Starcher.  Franklin County coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Garrett Hamilton, 6-3 Sr. Eric Meyer, 6-3 So. Chris Roberts, 5-10 Jr. Casey Tabor, and 5-11 Jr. Ryan Timmons.

 

Woodford County led 23-19 at halftime but Franklin County rallied for a 58-48 victory.  Franklin County shot 40% from the field including one of seven from the three point line.  The Flyers connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 14 Woodford County turnovers.  Woodford County shot 34% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Yellow Jackets connected on 13 of 21 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 17 Points off 13 Franklin County turnovers.

 

Ryan Timmons led Franklin County with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Casey Tabor added 12 points and six rebounds.  Chris Roberts chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

 

Jay Johnson led Woodford County with 13 points and eight rebounds.  David Greenwell added 11 points and eight rebounds.  Rodney Gross recorded 11 points and five steals.
