Male  vs.  Bryan Station

 

Male coach Larry Miller started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Steven Julian, 6-1 Sr. Vincent Wilcox, 6-3 Sr. Zach Moran, 5-7 Sr. Lamarcus Taylor, and 6-1 Jr. Josh Stoner.  Bryan Station coach Mike Allen countered with 6-3 Jr. Larry Morton, 6-2 Sr. Marcus Williams, 6-2 Jr. Kenyon Hipps, 5-8 So. Marcellous Washington, and 5-10 Jr. Tyler Smith.

 

Bryan Station scored 26 points off 23 Male turnovers in a 52-33 victory.  Bryan Station shot 40% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Defenders connected on 12 of 17 free throws and pulled down 27 rebounds.  Male shot 35.3% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on seven of seven free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored five points off eight Bryan Station turnovers.

 

Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 18 points.  Kenyon Hipps added 12 points.  Marcus Williams chipped in with nine points and five steals.  Tyler Smith recorded six points and 11 rebounds.

 

6-0 Jr. D.J. Lambert led Male with 11 points and seven rebounds.  Josh Stoner and Steven Julian added six points each.

Campbell County coach Aric Russell started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Nate McGovney, 6-1 So. Corey Holbrook, 6-4 Sr. Jared White, 6-0 Sr. Dalton Griffin, and 6-0 Sr. Kris Miller.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-4 Jr. Quan Taylor, 6-1 Sr. John O’Bryan, 6-6 Sr. Hunter Allen, 6-1 Jr. Ken-Jah Bosley, and 6-1 Jr. Dominique Hawkins.

 

Madison Central raced out to a 22-5 first quarter lead on their way to an 84-51 victory over Campbell County.  Madison Central shot 56.7% from the field including one of 13 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on seven of 16 from the free throw line, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 16 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 32.2% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Camels connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Hunter Allen led Madison Central with 20 points and 12 rebounds.  Dominique Hawkins, 6-1 Sr. Kyle Congleton, and Quan Taylor added 15, 13, and 12 points respectively.

 

Nate McGovney led Campbell County with 11 points.  6-3 Jr. Rob Franzen, Kris Miller, and Jared White added nine, seven, and seven points respectively.

Marshall County defeated Harrison County 62-46.  Marshall County shot 53.1% from the field including four of 13 from the field.  The Marshals connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 22 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 36.2% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Thorobreds connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Marshall County turnovers.

 

Chase Clark led Marshall County with 11 points.  Cole Nelson added nine points, five rebounds, and five assists.  Chase York also recorded nine points.  Austin Rentfrow chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.

 

Dillon Pulliam and Caleb Ford led Harrison County with 10 points each.

Montgomery County defeated Owen County 67-60 in overtime.  Owen County led 35-20 in the third quarter but Montgomery county rallied for the victory.  Montgomery County shot 36.7% from the field including eight of 21 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 15 of 26 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 14 Owen County turnovers.  Owen County shot 48.1% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.  The Rebels connected on seven of 19 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County with 24 points including five three point baskets and pulled down 13 rebounds.  Darius Jones added 13 points and seven rebounds.  Brandon Fruth also reached double figures with 12 points.

 

Justin Shelton led Owen County with 19 points.  Sawyer Williams added 11 points and 12 rebounds.  Zach Ripy chipped in with nine points.

Male defeated Campbell County by a score of 67-58.  Male shot 49% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 13 of 17 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Campbell County turnovers.  Male held an 18-2 advantage in second effort points and a 42-6 advantage in bench scoring.  Campbell County shot 44% from the field including seven of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Camels connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Male turnovers.

 

6-3 Sr. Zach Moran led Male with 20 points and 12 rebounds.  5-7 Sr. LaMarcus Taylor added 20 points and five assists.  Jaelin Brasher recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.

 

Nate McGovney led Campbell County with 33 points including four three point baskets.  Corey Holbrook added 17 points including three three point baskets.

Caleb Ford led Harrison County with 29 points and eight rebounds.  Ford was nine of 14 from the field including four of five free throws and seven of 10 free throws.  Dillon Pulliam added 13 points including three three point baskets and pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Zach Ripy led Owen County with 17 points including four three point baskets and recorded five steals.  Sawyer Williams added eight points.

Ken-Jah Bosley led Madison Central with 26 points including three three point baskets.  Dominique Hawkins added 25 points and five assists. Bosley and Hawkins were 13-16 and 12-13 from the free throw line respectively.  Quan Taylor recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.

Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County with 18 points and seven rebounds.  Prewitt was 13 of 15 from the free throw line.  6-0 Sr. Jake Handshoe added 15 points and seven rebounds.  Brandon Fruth also recorded 15 points.  Darius Jones chipped in with 11 points.

 

Chase Clark led Marshall County with 21 points and eight rebounds.  Chase York added 16 points.  Chase Buchanan chipped in with 12 points.

Male defeated Harrison County by a score of 61-37.  Male shot 60.5% from the field including four of eight from the three point line.  The Bulldogs connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored nine points off 10 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 34.8% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Thorobreds missed all five of their free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Male turnovers.

 

Zach Moran led Male with 23 points and 11 rebounds.  Lamarcus Taylor added 13 points.

Marshall County trailed 47-42 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 68-57.  Marshall County shot 48.8% from the field including three of nine from the three point line.  The Marshals connected on 23 of 31 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 33.9% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Marshall County turnovers.

 

Chase Clark led Marshall County with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Cole Nelson added 17 points and seven rebounds.  Austin Rentfrow and Chase York recorded 11 and 10 points respectively.

 

Larry Morton led Bryan Station with 18 points.  Marcus Williams added 11 points and six rebounds.  Fr. C.J. Walker also reached double figures with 10 points.

Madison Central earned the tourney championship with a 67-57 victory over Montgomery County.  Madison Central shot 43.3% from the field including three of 14 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 12 of 27 from the free throw line, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Montgomery County turnovers.  Montgomery County shot 41.3% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on 16 of 25 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 10 points off nine Madison Central turnovers.

 

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central with 21 points.  Ken-Jah Bosley added 17 points and eight rebounds.  Hunter Allen recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds.  Quan Taylor chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.

 

Omar Prewitt led Montgomery County with 23 points and eight rebounds.  Brandon Fruth and 6-0 Sr. Jake Handshoe added 13 and 11 points respectively.  Darius Jones pulled down 12 rebounds.
