Lexington Catholic has put together another great five days of basketball.  Six  of the top ten and eleven of the top twenty-five teams in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are entered in this tournament.  They are #1 Marion County, #4 Mercy, #5 Owensboro Catholic, #6 Assumption, #9 Elizabethtown, #10 Lincoln County, #14 Anderson County, #19 Christian Academy of  Louisville., #21 Lexington Catholic, #22 Ashland Blazer, and #23 Bowling Green.

Many of the top players in the state are scheduled to play in this star-studded event.  The top four and ten of the top twenty-five players in the Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview are featured in this tournament.  The players are #1 Becca Greenwell (Owensboro Catholic), #2 Makayla Epps (Marion County), #3 Kyvin Goodin-Rogers (Marion County), #4 China Dow (Christian Academy of Louisville), #9 Nora Kiesler (Assumption), #11 Emily Fox (Lincoln County), #12 Ivy Brown (LaRue County), #19 Serena Sandusky (Bryan Station), #22 Whitney Hartlage (Mercy), and #25 Erin Boley (Elizabethtown).

The Lexington Herald-Leader pre-season preview also listed the best players in each region, and the number one player in six of the sixteen regions are scheduled to play in this event.  The regionally ranked number one players are (Region #3 Becca Greenwell (Owensboro Catholic), (Region #4) Madison Clements (Monroe County) and Brittany Vaughn (Bowling Green), (Region #5) Makayla Epps (Marion County), (Region #7) China Dow (Christian Academy of Louisville), (Region #12) Emily Fox (Lincoln County). And (Region #16) Alexis Robinson (Ashland Blazer).

I will attempt to provide a capsule report for each game with expanded coverage given to each game I personally view.  Spelling of players names varies from program to program and sometimes the heights of the players are not provided so I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies.
