Glasgow coach Justin Stinson started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Bree Glover, 5-8 Sr. Hydeia Depp, 6-1 Sr. Shalika Smith, 5-4 Fr. Elli Bartley, and 5-8 Sr. Emily Alexander.  Newport Central Catholic coach George Stoll countered with 5-8 Jr. Alexus Mayes, 5-5 Sr. Stephanie Lewis, 5-10 Sr. Nikki Kiernan, 5-2 So. Ansley Davenport, and 5-3 Jr. Michaela Ware.

 

The score was tied 19-19 at halftime but Newport Central Catholic outscored Glasgow 20-11 in the third quarter on their way to a 54-50 victory.  Newport Central Catholic shot 35.8% from the field including one of eight from the three point line.  The Thoroughbreds connected on 15 of 24 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 23 Glasgow turnovers.  Glasgow shot 45.9% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Scotties connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Newport Central Catholic turnovers.

 

Nikki Kiernan led Newport Central Catholic with 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Alexus Mayes added 15 points, eight rebounds, and four steals.  Michaela Ware chipped in with 10 points and three steals.

 

Bree Glover led Glasgow with 30 points, 10 rebounds, six blocked shots, and five steals.  Emily Alexander and Shalika Smith each recorded six points and five rebounds.

Larue County raced out to a 22-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 72-61 victory over Scott County.  Larue County shot 50% from the field including four of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Hawks connected on 22 of 34 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 31.8% from the field including five of 26 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 33 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 16 Larue County turnovers.

 

Alexis Brewer led Larue County with 35 points including 11 of 16 free throws and three assists.  Ivy Brown added 20 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Alyson Yingling recorded nine points and eight rebounds.

 

Audriana Christopher led Scott County with 23 points including three three point baskets,  two blocked shots, and two steals.  Danielle DeFoor added 13 points.  Tereka Guyn recorded 12 points and 14 rebounds.  Lauren Boehm pulled down eight rebounds.

Brooke Dossett led Gallatin County with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Autumn Bowman added 17 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and three assists.  Hannah Dossett recorded 14 points including four three point baskets and six rebounds.
