Scott coach Rhonda Klette started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Anna Clephane, 5-8 Jr. Holly Kallmeyer, 5-10 Sr. Madison Meyer, 5-7 Fr. Alexis Stapleton, and 5-7 Sr. Jenna Trimpe.  South Laurel coach Konnie Snyder countered with 5-7 Sr. Brittany Vanderventer, 5-8 Fr. Taylor Cromer, 5-9 Sr. Morgan Madden, 5-5 Sr. Preslie Baker, and 5-7 So. Shelby Davis.

 

Scott raced out to a 24-6 first quarter lead on their way to a 61-44 victory over South Laurel.  Scott shot 45.7% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 15 of 31 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 25 South Laurel turnovers.  South Laurel shot 35% from the field including zero of seven from beyond the arc.  The lady Cardinals connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 19 Scott turnovers.

 

Alexis Stapleton led Scott with 17 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Holly Kallmeyer added 13 points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Anna Clephane recorded seven points and seven rebounds.

 

Brittany Vanderventer led South Laurel with 13 points.  Shelby Davis added eight points.  5-8 8th Grade Mariah Anders recorded five points and eight rebounds.

Ally Mayhaus led Holy Cross with 14 points, 14 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Aleah Tucker added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Deja Turner also scored 14 points including three three point baskets.  6-2 Sr. Cessie Mayhaus recorded seven points and nine rebounds.

Ashland Blazer nipped East Carter by a score of 40-39.  Ashland led East Carter 27-14 in the second quarter but East Carter outscored Ashland 15-2 in the third quarter to take a 33-30 lead at the end of three quarters.  Ashland rallied in the final quarter for the victory.  There were five lead changes and four ties in this game.  Ashland shot 41.4% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Kittens connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 East Carter turnovers.  East Carter shot 30.6% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Raiders connected on four of eight free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Ashland turnovers.

 

Alexis Robinson led Ashland Blazer with 23 points including three three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Haley-Sue Foutch and Mykasa Robinson added eight and seven points respectively.

 

Haley Hall led East Carter with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Kristen Mayo added 10 points.  Megan Stickler chipped in with nine points.

Elizabethtown raced out to a 19-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 59-37 victory over mercy Academy.  Elizabethtown shot 51.2% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 31.1% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on two of two free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 19 Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Erin Boley led Elizabethtown with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.  Darien Huff added 11 points and five steals.  Rachel Warden recorded nine points on three three point baskets and dished out seven assists.  Reauna Cleaver pulled down 10 rebounds.

 

5-11 Sr. Mackenzie Stovall led Mercy with nine points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Malerie Martin also scored nine points on three three point baskets.
