Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Sarah Bridenbaugh started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Nicole Armstrong, 5-5 So. Autumn Herriford, 6-0 Sr. Merissa Marrow, 5-4 Fr. Mashayla Cecil, and 5-4 Jr. Ezhunnai Ighodaro.  East Carter coach Hager Easterling Jr. countered with 5-9 Sr. Kaylee Limings, 5-8 So. Haley Hall, 5-10 Sr. Megan Stickler, 5-6 So. Kristen Mayo, and 5-5 Sr. Alexis Pennington.

 

East Carter trailed 33-30 after three quarters but outscored Paul Laurence Dunbar 24-8 in the final quarter to earn a 54-41 victory.  East Carter shot 36.4% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 23 Paul Laurence Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 44.7% from the field including two of seven from beyond the arc.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on five of 11 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 East Carter turnovers.

 

Megan Stickler led East Carter with 11 points and six rebounds.  Kristen Mayo added 11 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Haley Hall recorded eight points and six assists.  5-5 Sr. Abby Damron added seven points including two three point baskets.

 

Ezunnai Ighodaro led Dunbar with 12 points and eight rebounds.  Merissa Marrow added 11 points and five rebounds.  Mashayla Cecil chipped in with eight points.

Montgomery County defeated Clay County by a score of 61-55.  The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Montgomery County shot 39.6% from the field including six of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Indians connected on 13 of 18 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Clay County turnovers.   Clay County shot 36.5% from the field including two of 18 from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Montgomery County turnovers.

 

Sarah Arnett led Montgomery County with 25 points including five three point baskets and six rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Aiyanna Jones added seven points and four rebounds.  5-6 Fr. Delaney Bromagen recorded seven points and four assists.  5-7 Sr. Kristen Williams and Alyssa Terrell pulled down eight and seven rebounds respectively.

 

Kelli Roberts led Clay County with 24 points and 10 rebounds.  Ajaycia Cotton added 13 points, four assists, and three steals.  Kaylee Mathis chipped in with eight points.  Courtney Woods recorded six points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Lafayette defeated Lincoln County 53-49 in overtime.  There were four lead changes and five ties in this game.  Lincoln County led 17-5 in the second quarter but Lafayette rallied for the victory.  Lafayette shot 33.3% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 36.2% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady patriots connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 16 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Dee Givens added 15 points six rebounds, and three steals.  Kendyl Powell chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Aisha Conwell recorded six points and eight rebounds.

 

Tiandra Hocker led Lincoln County with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Spencer Sims added 11 points.  Cami Holton chipped in with nine points and five rebounds.  Caitlin Hall recorded eight points including two three point baskets.

Ajaycia Cotton led Clay County with 16 points.  Kelli Roberts added 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Courtney Woods recorded eight points and 11 rebounds.

Elizabeth Hardiman led George Rogers Clark with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Hardiman was nine of 11 from the field and one of two from the free throw line.  Sydney Harrison added 12 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Sandra Skinner chipped in with seven points and four rebounds but only logged 13:39 minutes before fouling out.
