2018 Kentucky AAU Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball Championship

Varsity – There were sixteen teams entered in the varsity division.  They were placed into four pools as follows: Pool A: Floyd County Central, Henry Clay, Bourbon County, and Southwestern, Pool B: Tates Creek, Bishop Brossart, Model, and Oldham County, Pool C: South Laurel, Morgan County, Frederick Douglass, and Nicholas County, and Pool D: Prestonsburg, Berea, Louisville Central, and George Rogers Clark.

 

Junior Varsity- There were eight teams entered in the junior varsity division.  They were placed into two pools as follows: Pool A: Louisville central, Floyd County Central, South Laurel, and Tates Creek, and Pool B: Southwestern, Jenkins, Louisville Male, and Berea.

South Laurel 57  George Rogers Clark 56 (Championship) – Dianna Morgan led South Laurel with 25 points.  Hayley Harrison, Jasmine Flowers, and Tya Flowers led George Rogers Clark with 18, 12, and 11 points respectively.

 

This was a difficult weekend for the KBA staff with the late minute changes but they pulled it off and had a successful tourney with some excellent games and teams.
